Maxpoly Batteries is dedicated to supplying superior quality Lithium Batteries to Radio Control Modellers at excellent prices. It was created in 2005 by the former owner, Mr Andy Rigby. Andy worked very hard to build a small customer-focused business that rapidly gained a good, honest reputation. He continued to do so for nearly 3 years and Maxpoly established itself and it's products very favourably.
We, being Andrew and Elizabeth Payne took over the company from Andy in November 2007, and whilst we have expanded the range of available packs we still only deal with this small & specialized area. We are structured around providing the very best information, guidance, and after sales service as possible. What we lack in huge premises and big mark-ups we make up for in one-to-one customer care and service.
Andrew has been flying r/c models for over 10 years and electric models for over 5 years. Coupled with both A-Level and a University Degree in Electronics this puts us in a very good position to offer sound advice and decent service to all our customers.
Andrew flies a range of models all of which use Maxpoly Ultimate packs. These include 3d aerobatic models from Extreme Flight and Precision Aerobatics, a Fusion Funfly, a Multiplex Funjet, and Streetfighter combat foam models. Shown below is the Andrew's vintage Ikarus Shockflier!
Our batteries are NOT another cheap, overly specified Lithium Battery. They are produced to our specification at our state-of-the-art factory in China. This allows us to offer a superior battery at a competitive price. We are very conscious of the fact the Lithium Polymer market is flooded with batteries that promise much and deliver little. We aim to reverse this trend and if our batteries state they are 25C or 35C continuous then they are! Please feel free to read some of our reviews on the website which will give you an insight into the performance of Maxpoly Batteries. All Maxpoly batteries have been fully tested and are CE marked for legal use in the UK.
